Environmental Observation and Analysis
Steve Brown leads Spheros Environmental’s Northern California region, where he brings deep scientific insight and analytical expertise to air quality and atmospheric measurement work. He collaborates with project teams and clients to design, evaluate, and interpret environmental data that supports regulatory objectives and informed decision-making across near-field to regional contexts.
Steve’s approach emphasizes scientific rigor, clear communication, and thoughtful problem framing. He focuses on ensuring that measurement, observation, and interpretation are not only technically sound but also understandable and useful for project partners and clients. His work spans receptor modeling, air pollutant source analysis, data validation, and advanced atmospheric data interpretation.

Clear measurement builds credible insight.
Data are most powerful when collected and interpreted in ways that stakeholders can trust and act on.
Interpretation requires context.
The value of air quality analysis lies in translating measurements into statements about real-world conditions and decisions.
Communication strengthens impact.
Scientific understanding is most useful when it’s explained clearly and connected directly to client needs.
